Who we are

Established in 1994, National Society for Equal Opportunities for the Handicapped (Gujarat) is a registered society and a registered public charitable trust working for children with developmental delays and disabilities.

What Is Developmental Delay?

Monitoring the initial years in a child’s life are indicative not just of their growth but also their development. Monitoring is a process which would involve observing how the child grows, plays, learns, speaks, acts and moves. Most of these skills are achieved by a certain age and these functional/age specific skills are referred to as developmental milestones. Most children develop such skills at different rates, achieving these milestones at their own pace.

A developmental delay means the child is continually falling behind in achieving these milestones expected by a certain age.

Developmental milestones

NASEOH (Gujarat) aims to help young children achieve these milestones through Early Intervention, Assessment, Treatment and Therapy as also through Education, Learning and Sports. All activities at NASEOH(Gujarat) are carried out through KALRAV and BLUE ROSE.

Kalrav is an assessment, therapy and
treatment centre for children with
developmental delay.

Blue Rose is a learning and activity centre
for children with developmental delays and
disabilities.

Kalrav

KALRAV an early intervention centre undertakes assessment and treatment of children with developmental delay between the age of one month and 10 years. Early intervention is a systematic programme of therapy, exercises and activities designed to address the problem of developmental delay in children.

In keeping with global standards and developmental scales, a detailed developmental assessment is made for every child visiting the Centre. Thereafter a treatment plan involving multiple therapy as prescribed by qualified medical and paramedical professionals is provided.

Blue Rose

Blue Rose is a learning and activity centre for children in the age group of 4 to 12 years with developmental disabilities and special needs.

Special needs are any of the difficulties that interfere with a child’s ability to grow and hence learning may be altered or delayed compared to other students. These difficulties could be learning, developmental, emotional, behavioural or physical disabilities or impairment. Children with Down’s syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit/Hyper Activity Disorder (ADHD), Language and Learning Disorder are some of the children requiring such special personalized attention.

Based on the specific requirement of the child, an Individual Education Plan is designed for each child.
